Ten years and counting – Cottage Owner Talks with Saniflo

Saniflo Canada sat down with Roger Brisson, a cottage owner, to discuss how the Saniplus solved his cottage renovation challenge and how his experience has been since. 

How long have you owned a Saniflo Product?  

10 years and counting. I first heard about it in one of their advertisements as a solution for unique plumbing renovations.

What was the reason you choose a Saniflo Product?

I own a cottage that is built on a slope, making plumbing work difficult and often expensive. I saw that Saniflo’s products could be installed without major construction. I wanted a low maintenance solution that could help me renovate quickly and easily so I could enjoy my time away from the city.

Have you ever had to do maintenance on the product? 

I accidentally flushed something into the Saniplus unit and the problem was quickly resolved with the help of a Saniflo technician who walked me through the process open the foreign object. The technician recommended a list of plumbers who could assist me if I wanted a professional to help instead and suggested I descale my unit at the end of the summer to keep it functioning properly.

How has your experience with Saniflo been?

It’s been great. The Saniplus ended up being the perfect solution for my cottage and has been running smoothly ever since. In fact I recently suggested both my daughter and a friend use a Saniflo product for their basement plumbing projects.

About the Saniplus:

The Saniplus is a macerating unit that can pump waste to a drainage line or soil stack up to 15” vertically and 150” horizontally. It breaks down waste prior to disposal and uses small diameter piping meaning there is no need to break the floor or the walls. It has connections for a toilet, sink, shower or a bathtub bathroom.
